Terrorism: A Global Phenomenon Listen Listen

The PLO. The IRA. Hezbollah. The Munich Olympics hostage takers. Osama bin Laden's Al Queda group is far from the first organization to use terrorism against civilians to achieve their aims.

President Bush has vowed to bring down all terrorist groups. But what defines a terrorist versus a freedom-fighter? How do these groups function? And what lessons have we learned from past terrorist groups that can help us in today's battle?
